Our Clinician Educator Track supports residents in gaining the necessary skills to thrive as both physicians and teachers, ultimately preparing them to be successful members of an internal medicine faculty.
Residents who complete the Clinician-Educator Track will:
- Gain tools to develop, implement and iterate a curriculum for a chosen area of interest
- Gain experience developing and delivering educational content through a variety of formats (“chalk talk”, case-based discussion, formal lectures and workshops)
- Recognize the value of sharing knowledge and experience in medical education through national/regional meetings
- Be able to give feedback and help learners develop their own educational goals
Program size: up to 2 residents per year of training (6 total)
Program Description: The curriculum will include didactic and experiential learning in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Activities will include track-specific workshops on various areas of medical education as well as the opportunity for each resident to develop and implement their own teaching project.
