In addition to the many cultural offerings at Brown University, the state is also home to the Rhode Island School of Design, Trinity Square Repertory Company, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, all nationally acclaimed in the fine arts.

Activities on the Brown University campus are open to Kent Hospital residents. These include theater, dance, sports and music events. Nearby Rhode Island College, Providence College and the University of Rhode Island also offer various cultural and sports events.
