  • General Internal Medicine (4 Kent and 1 VA Ward): 5 blocks
  • Critical Care Medicine: 1 block
  • Cardiology: 1 block
  • Emergency Medicine: 1 block
  • Dermatology/Wound Care/Express Care: 1 block
  • Office: 1 block
  • Selectives*: 3 blocks
  • General Internal Medicine (7 Kent and 1 VA Ward): 8 blocks
  • Internal Medicine Night Float: 2 blocks
  • Women and Infants Consultative Service: 1 block
  • Pulmonary Service: 1 block
  • Cardiology: 1 block
  • Critical Care: 2 blocks
  • Geriatrics (PGY2): 1 block
  • Hospital at Home/Nursing Home
  • Selectives*: 9 blocks
  • Pulmonary Medicine: 1 block
  • Nephrology: 1 block
  • Gastroenterology: 1 block
  • Endocrinology: 1 block
  • Neurology: 1 block
  • Infectious Disease: 1 block
  • Rheumatology: 1 block
  • Hematology/Oncology: 1 block

Elective rotations outside of the CNE system are limited to 2 blocks over the PGY2/PGY3 year. All outside rotations must be requested, and approved, at least three (3) months prior to the rotation. This allows for processing of required Program Affiliation Agreements. Additional outside elective blocks are approved on a case-by-case basis by the Program Director (i.e. mission trips).
